we rented a car for the day tomorrow and want to go somewhere to swim and actually enjoy the 90 degree weather, without sitting in LI traffic. any suggestions? its just me, dh and 2 year old ds. tia! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

rockaways? Enjoy the NYC traffic. Or Jersey shore and enjoy the Jersey traffic. The problem is anyone with a car is going to head to the beach tomorrow. [ Reply | More ]

That I don't know. You should look into water parks, too. When you don' t have the car, the Red Hook pool has a really big sprinkler and kids pool area. [ Reply | More ]

Agree. Also try the great water park near chelsea piers. You could spend an afternoon there, walk around, get ice cream. With young kids, you don't need to go away. Nice just to stay in town. [ Reply | More ]
