z-post: I moved to the burbs 2 yrs ago (as did many of my friends) and what I miss most is being able to see all my friends so easily. My b-day's coming up, and I'm thinking of inviting about 8 of my friends to a ladies' lunch in NYC. What do you think of this idea? Where do you think we could go? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Slight detour: You will make new friends in the burbs as your kids get older and there will be no way to avoid them. You are much more likely to run into people there than in NYC [ Reply | More ]

I have plenty of friends in the burbs, but I believe in the Girl Scout theme: "make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver, and the other's gold" [ Reply | More ]

I think you should suggest this for someone else's birthday, or just don't link it to your birthday [ Reply | More ]
