don't freak out but call your doc or gyn and get their recomendation. Probably nothing, but better to get it checked out. [ Reply | More ]

if you're really worried, sure, go to the ED, but this is prob. something a general med doc or gyn can handle, and you will probably not need alot of tests (least of all an MRI) [ Reply | More ]

its probably just a small cyst, lymph node, or blocked gland. Call your PMD. Or if you cannot get an appointment and it continues to swell, gets more painful, or yet get sick in any other way (feves, etc)go to to ER or an urgent care center. FWIW, getting an MRI is probablly totally irrelevant to your case. [ Reply | More ]

there are plenty of things that can be diagnosed by just a physical exam, the feel and appearance of the area, and the history. MRIs are ordered in specific scenarios and this is prob. not one of them. Signed, MD mom who orders MRIs all the time but only when they're necessary. [ Reply | More ]
