help, DS was fully potty trained for day around 3y4mo, but still not for night, we use an overnight diaper and still always pretty full, now i'm wondering if it is bc he has the diaper on he knows he doesn't need to go to potty and I'm afraid the habit will set in, he just turned 4 and the other night i tried no diaper and he had an accident, advice pls [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

my dd was in apull=up at night until she was 5. she just gave it up on her own. She was day trianed at 2 - not kidding. Doctor said it just takes some kids longer. I tried limiting water, taking her to the bathroom before I went to bed. She did it when she was ready. My 4 yo dd now also is still in pull-up at night and has been day trained since 2.5 - doc said it is not an issue until they are 6. [ Reply | More ]

Nothing to worry about--my ped said even if day trained much earlier, not unusual for boys to take much longer night training--even to age 6 is not that unusual. Just limit after dinner drinks to needed water and make sure he pees before bed. It worked for us when my son was ready. [ Reply | More ]
