Need a digital camera recommendation- so tired of red eye! Nothing fancy. Simple and small and easy to use. got any recs? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

sorry, red eye has nothing to do with which camera you use -- it's (usually) the result of using the flash. however, Photoshop Elements will "automatically" fix red eye when you upload pix to the computer. [ Reply | More ]

well, yes. if you don't use a flash, you shouldn't get red eye. OTOH, if you don't use a flash in many conditions, you won't get much of a picture either. So if you need a flash, use it, but then you have to adjust the pix on the computer. Also, there are cameras that have something called "red eye reduction", where the camera flashes several times before it takes the picture, and that (sometimes) will eliminate or at least reduce the red eye problem.
