what is the leapster2? We have 2 leapsters (one that is 5 yrs old and better because it has a bigger screen). My dcs really like them but the cartridges are a rip off (we have $350 worth) [ Reply | More ]

poster above here, I bought it for older dc when he was 4 and he hated it. Threw it in closet and when younger dc was 4 1/2 dug it out. He loved it and then older dc (now 7) wanted to play it too - I had to go buy another one because they were fighting over it (and since a new one only costs $50 and I already had tons of cartridges, I figured why not. OP: how old is dc? My older dc preferred the V-Smile system and there is one where you can use a leapster-type component for travel. My older likes playing games on the TV, younger one (4) loves the little leapster. My 1 yo likes the leapster too but she just pretends to play [ Reply | More ]
