We are getting ready to hire a part time nanny to watch our little girl 3days/week. We're planning on taking a vacation in February for one week. And one week during Thanksgiving week. Is it the norm to pay the nanny for the week of Thanksgiving if we are not in town and pay her the week we are on vacation? Thoughts? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You will need to work out a vacation policy before you hire someone ie how much paid leave nanny will get and when she can take it. [ Reply | More ]

it is customary to pay when you are on vacation. It's not like she can get a job for those two weeks. [ Reply | More ]
