I want to stop pumping at work. Down to just one pumping session. Had mastitis 3 times over the past 5 months. I tried not pumping yesterday and immediately developed a painfully plugged duct. Any advice? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Are you cutting down on the time you are pumping? I would do this rather than go cold turkey. [ Reply | More ]

I haven't tried that yet. I generally pump for 10 minutes or so. [ Reply | More ]

Each time you pump cut back the time by a couple of mins to allow your body to adjust. The other thing you can do is just express enough each time to make yourself comfortable and again your body will adjust over time. It will take a few days at least. GL [ Reply | More ]
