amen sister - I ate a bag of potato chips and a can of pringles last night for dinner and went into a massive shame spiral (was also very thirsty) [ Reply | More ]

i walked out of a Diet center years ago after hitting my goal and then ate an afternoon's worth of chocolate chip cookies slathered with peanut buuter with tall glasses of whole milk. [ Reply | More ]

I hit my goal weight on Saturday AM, was thrilled, bought white jeans as a "reward" (I had promised them to myself)...and have eaten like a pig ever since. I want to wear the jeans on Thursday, so I'm hoping that I stop it before then! [ Reply | More ]

Thanks! :) I am worried that I'm going to reward myelf with food -- but the enormous serving of burger and fries that I ate on Sat. PM gave me a horrible bellyache, so maybe I have learned to eat better. We'll see! [ Reply | More ]

op: thank you both. i have had malt chocolate chip cookies, they are new keebler ones and so delicious. i had frozen yogurt last night and tonight. my meals have been good, but snaking. need to start with the baby carrots again. thank god i exercise. also had some m&m's today. i need to stop this! need to go back to tracking points, that really helped me lose the weight. but maybe one more day. i can't think that way. i am going out to dinner thursday, probably for sushi and know i will have a drink. going out with a girlfriend. OR: my husband told me last night that you need to be out of your routine (ie on vacation) on order to change ingrained habits. FWIW, I was amazingly disciplined after a detox hiking trip in Brazil two years ago - didn't touch sweets or crappy food. It was actually amazing. [ Reply | More ]

funny i tend to be the opposite. when on vacation i eat whatever i want, bagels, cupcakes (love crumbs!!) etc. when home i am much stricter. i don't cut out all things but when i have things like chocolate it is a small amount. but i have to get better, it is harder to be really disciplined in only the week before i weigh in. need to stay good the whole month, only 1-2 days to be bad then back on track. so tomorrow is back to the grind. boo hoo! np. (and not a ww) I'd suggest not buying M&Ms etc so that you can go out with your friend and enjoy your meal/drink without feeling guilty. If you are happy to treat yourself occasionally you won't feel like you are denying yourself so much the rest of the time. GL [ Reply | More ]

op: i can buy the candy and leave it in my house and not touch it. same with having it in my bag, not eat it for days, then one day i open the bag and eat some of it, i had not even 1/2 a bag today. but it is the eating of a few small snacks, some m&m's, 2-3 cookies, cherries (sugar content), fro yo. need to put the carrots back in my bag. Yup. Don't buy it and then it won't be there when you fancy a nibble - GL. My other suggestion is to start buying good quality dark chocolate. It's hard to eat too much of it and once you are used to it you won't like the taste of M&Ms any more. [ Reply | More ]

op: had been doing that. the m&m's are the mint ones, they are new and don't think they will be around a long time. i just have to stop. i cut it all out when had weekly weigh ins, so i know i can do it, just need to keep the motivation up. i will bet back on track. [ Reply | More ]

Get your dh or a friend to weigh you each week - that would work for me! [ Reply | More ]

White jeans poster: you can do it! GL to us both! I'm super busy tomorrow, which means that I'll eat better during the day (b/c I literally won't have time to stuff my face!). I also like to snack -- but you're right, it needs to be carrots most of the time, not cookies. [ Reply | More ]
