Breastfeeding question-i have been exclusively bfing my 4 mo baby, but about a week ago, when she latches onto the breast that always has the most milk, i am almost screaming in pain. Initially it was just when she latched on, but now the pain (mostly around the nipple) is pretty constant. I should call my ob, right? tia. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i would call an LC, LLL support, or some other BF focussed support first. a lot of OB's don't know much about bf. [ Reply | More ]

have you had clogged milk ducts yet? They're usually not centered in the nipple area. Why don't you check out the symptoms of mastitis (sp?) as well- so you know what to tell dr. If you have fever, chills, smell...go to dr immediatly and do not breastfeed. [ Reply | More ]
