My mom just told me that she lost her engagement ring last year(she got it in 1965 or '66). This is the first I have heard of it and now has me wondering if she really lost it. My parents are poor and the ring is the only thing of value that she had. Many yrs ago (about 15yr ago) they pawned her ring in order to pay bills and buy food. I found out and got it out of the pawn shop for them. I find it odd that it was a yr ago and she never said anything to me. I hope she didn't pawn it again. op: I asked her if she pawned it and she said no but at this point it's been a yr and most likely sold already. I think she would lie about pawning it as she is very proud and will not even ask or take money from me (or anyone) even when she really needs it. I can't replace the diamond but am thinking about getting a replica made with a great CZ (she uses CZ) for their anniversary. I feel helpless and sad [ Reply | More
