I'd second this. Manhattan is insane if you didn't buy here 10+ years ago. There are plenty of nice areas in brooklyn and queens that are more affordable, but you have to commute. [ Reply | More

This depends on the lifestyle you are looking for and how you define super-rich. People in NYC (even otuside of Manhattan) live in MUCH smaller spaces compared to people in the rest of the US (at a similar economic level) so you'd have to be comfortable with that. If you are looking to rent and you need a 3BR of any kind, you are talking upwards of $5K/month in most of Manhattan (even for a small one). [ Reply | More
