I am pg with #4, this will be my last one (3 boys) We just told our families and everyone was saying things like "Its just going to be another boy" Like they are wishing this on me. I got so upset. I mean of course I would love a girl, but I would be happy with any healthy baby. Why is everyone so mean? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

statistically the odds are overwhemlming that it will be a boy, but who cares! Come up with a pleasant upbeat response for times like this. Something like, we don't really care what sex the baby is, we are just happy to be having another child. I always wanted four children. OR, snark back and say, We are going to do genetic testing and abort if its a boy and just watch them fall over! [ Reply | More

They aren't mean. You are pregnant and hormonal. Doesn't matter what they "wish" on you. The sex of your child is already determined and nothing can be done about it, so pay them no mind. [ Reply | More

I get what you are saying. I'm pg with #3 and we are having a boy (after 2 dds). PPL keep saying to dh (and to me) OH HE MUST BE SO EXCITED now that he's having the boy. DH hates when ppl say this. I understand. I'm pg w/#3 and have two boys. I don't want to find out the sex this time, partly because I want to be surprised for my last and partly because people are obsessed with commenting on the sex (my mom: oh, I hope you get your girl this time! etc.) Annoying. [ Reply | More

No one is "wishing" anything on you. People just say thoughtless things. We adopted our kids and people ask me the stupidest, most hurtful things about my kids. Whatever. You're blessed w/ your kids. Whoever is supposed to show up next will and he or she will be a blessing too. [ Reply | More
