How early can you give a child an IQ test and get accurate results? My nephew had a stroke as a newborn and they are starting to test his intelligence now at 18 mos. I'm afraid of him being labeled too early, before his intelligence can really be measured. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It's fine that they begin testing now. They will continue to test your nephew. They are looking for problem areas so they can address asap. Its a good thing, not a bad thing in your nephews case. [ Reply | More ]

We decided to wait unitl dc was 7 or 8 to test. I think we'll get a more accurate picture then (based on the tiny amount of research I did). [ Reply | More ]
