i don't get this. to make a six ounce bottle of formula, it's six ounces of water + three scoops. why does it then end up as more than six ounces after i've put in the scoops? i was going to make a 24 oz pitcher full of formula then distribute to four bottles (6 ozs each) but of course, now it comes out to MORE than 24 ounces... i must be having a brain fart but can someone explain this to me? i'm sure it's not nearly as difficult as it seems to me right now...tia [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

because you are not making 6 oz of formula, you are using 6 oz of water and adding powder to it which adds to the final mass. 7th grade science. [ Reply | More ]

yes, it does come out to slightly more, but I do it that way anyway. I don't think you have to be so exact about it. If your baby finishes it then great, if not, you're only wasting a little. [ Reply | More ]
