My 11-year-old DD is interested in sleepaway camp next summer. I went to sleepaway as a teen and have always had a desire to go back to camp myself. When we pick a camp, I am considering applying to work in the office. Anyone ever work at a summer camp as a mom, not as a young counselor? (Been there, done that.) My DH is not too happy about the idea of being left alone at home all summer, but when will I ever have this chance again? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I know someone doing this - more to save $ than to relive her camp years - and it's fine. Her DH comes up every single weekend. My Mom's mom did this, and my Mom liked it. [ Reply | More
