of course it's aligned with my own beliefs. I tell DD that when you die, you go to heaven to be with God. I think that's about what a 3yo can handle and I think it will comfort her as she grows up and I have to explain to her why her brother is not here with us [ Reply | More

that no one really knows but people have a lot of different ways of dealing with it, and then i give examples. when my dad died, ds thought about it for a little bit and then announced that he believed grandpa watches other people and helps them out but comes back to play games with him.
