If I were in a tt corporate environment in charge of hiring I would be VERY cautious in hiring a 25-35 y.o. woman without kids. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

and it will continue to be a woman's issue as long as people like the OP discriminate against women of childbearing age. [ Reply | More ]

Then you'd be short sighted. It's not like people stay in their jobs forever. They leave for better jobs too. [ Reply | More ]

Nice attitude. On your point, there's always the chance the childless woman won't have kids vs. hiring the one with kids who has to call in everytime she needs to stay home or pick up a sick kid. [ Reply | More ]

hm. most of my female friends are totally single and still working, and we're over 35 y/o. that would suck for them if firms didn't hire them bc they assumed they'd be leaving. [ Reply | More ]

PLease, you can tell you aren't in a hiring position. I hire and anyone can leave you at anytime. This isn't 1970 where people stay with companies for their whole careers. People jump around all the time. My experience is that the women who don't stay work for companies that indicated subtly that they didn't want them to. Thankfully mine isn't like that! So if you are 28 and have a child are you saying they are available for hire? I think you need to get out of 1961 and get a clue. Quite honestly I think women who have children are way more efficient and organized then those without. It is like once you have a child your multi-tasking and organization skills whip into overdrive. Watch out we may just take over your job! [ Reply | More ]
