Need travel advice. My DH and I are taking a [much needed] vacation to Italy in early Sept. Flying into Rome, staying one night and heading to the Amalfi Coast. Question is, I'd love to go to Positano but I've heard it's so touristy. Is it worth staying 1-2 nights there or is there another town we could go to that doesn't feel overrun with other travelers. ANY OTHER ADVICE ON THE REGION IS APPRECIATED. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

We are going to Capri but didn't necessarily plan on staying there. We have two young kids at home so we only have 5 days. Do you stay in Capri? [ Reply | More ]

We stayed at the Villa Franco and had the most wonderful time. We were there in early October. It is a good central location with beautiful beach. The other towns seemed more "urban" for lack of a better word. I think Positano is the place to stay. You won't have any regrets. [ Reply | More ]
