ttc no. 2 for 7 mos! I am 32, dh is 34. We've had all the tests and are "normal" I ovulate every month (albiet sometimes late). I got pregnant with no. 1 the first month we tried!! Has anyone btdt? I am losing faith here and getting so sick of trying. If there is nothing wrong with us, why isn't this happening? Should I go on clomid or what? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it's only been 7 months - really not a long time - especially since that's assuming you've timed it right every cycle. you were lucky the first time. are you charting using "taking charge of your fertility" as a guide? [ Reply | More ]

I was totally "normal" and took 11 months to conceive my first (at 35). My 2nd took one hit, one month. Do not go on clomid. Take time, relax (i know everyone says that)> It will happen. [ Reply | More ]

7 months is not that long in ttc. I, personally, wouldn't go on clomid. Took me 1 1/2 years at- I was 33, dh 29 [ Reply | More ]

Thanks to everyone. I appreciate the feedback. I am charting and using taking charge as a guide. Why all the anti-clomid sentiment? Does it stink or what? [ Reply | More ]

NP: Maybe do some reading about Clomid. There's not really a reason to take it if you're ovulating on your own. [ Reply | More ]

there are health risks to you when you do ovarian hyperstimulation, plus risk of multiple births is higher - and multiple births bring with the MUCH greater risks to you and your dbs. [ Reply | More ]

The chance of hyperstimulation from Clomid is miniscule. Ditto higher order multiples. Increased risk of twins, but even that is not huge. That said, I don't see what it would do for OP since she ovulates. [ Reply | More ]

that's crazy if she's already having a hard time ttc, it will further diminish chances... How helpful... [ Reply | More ]
