ok. question here...my 1st (dd) now 5 went to bed v. easily, but also took a pacifier. my 2nd (ds) (almost 1), does not go to bed v. easily (doesn't take pacifier). i basically need to rub his back and sing and then he falls asleep. this doesn't take more than 10 minutes. do i just do this or am i setting a bad habit? CIO doesn't really work with him, so i'm not sure if this is OK or not. also, he wakes around 4-5 am for a bottle, which i still give him...not good, right? he's in our room BTW....it's either there or w/his sister, and i'm afraid of disturbing her sleep. TIA for advice. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I personally think it depends on what works for you. If you don't mind the bedtime routine, why mess with it? As far as the bottle, you could delay it by 10 min every day until it's at a better time of morning. [ Reply | More ]
