If traveling with a 3yo in a taxi without a carseat, do you belt dc in? I've never done it and am not sure how to best manage it. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

no because it's yet another task that will cause me to lose focus and forget to get the stroller out of the trunk while her unclosed juice bottle is seeping thru my bag meanwhile i've accidentally squashed her lunch bag... [ Reply | More

lol. So do you hold your child in the cab or just don't use the belt? Really, never not used car seat and don't know what to do with the lap belt etc. [ Reply | More

well, i don't ride cabs often, and when i do it's at the most inopportune time - naptime. she drifts right off. yup, i end up holding her somehow. [ Reply | More

Depends on the size of the child. Smaller kid-Fasten your seatbelt and hold them in your lap. Otherwise, buckle them in a seat on their own but put the shoulder belt part fully behind them and rely on the lap restraint only. [ Reply | More
