For the past several months our inlaws have been very, very preoccupied with all the other grandkids. Well, in that time they have completely and totally neglected our dds as a result. I don't expect their lives to revolve around these granddaughters, but now they are trying to make up for the fact that they basically had nothing to do with our kids. It's so obvious what is going on. Even dh feels the same way that I do. Should I be a shithead or just let them make up to them the fact they have been absent and playing favorites with the other grandkids?? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

ITA...Who knows what was going on. There might be a reason why they were more concerned with the other grandkids for that period of time. Look at it this way...at least they have returned to the realization that they must make up for lost time with your kids and they are making every effort to do so. I would let it go and just pick up where the good times with them left off. [ Reply | More

Maybe it is easier for them to manage planning things with one group at a time. Are they now "neglecting" the other gdc to spend time with your dds? [ Reply | More

I always think if you notice people are spending less time with you and more time with the other siblings/friends, etc its because you aren't as fun to be around. [ Reply | More
