I think it would be a major boost to Obama if he came out against race based affirmative action and for socio-economic based affirmative action. I'd vote for him if he did. Do you think he could do it? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'm pointing out that on the subject of college admissions, which you claim that your dc is at a disadvantage because of afirmative action, I'm saying that your dc is more impacted by the application of your run of the mill WASP, than an AA. np: You simply don't get that these "rich African Americans" and their prodgeny still have to overcome hurdles simply based on the color of their skin. For example, an AA ds of a wealthy family, may still lose out on an investment banking job at Goldman Sachs to a less qualified white applicant, based on race, or nepitism.
