db is 4 days old - if she is not sleeping, she is nursing - on a few occassions i will nurse for a good long while she may actually fall asleep at breast and the minute i move her she starts freaking out - shaking her head looking to put something in her mouth. today i literally think she has been nursing since 11 am. wwyd? It will get easier. My dc #1 was similar and it was tough at the time. I never used pacifiers but you might want to try them. [ Reply | More

is she actually getting anything while she nurses? you may want to pump to make sure. otherwise, she needs the sucking to sleep. its ok for babies to cry just a bit, they may just be tired. [ Reply | More
