My incoming first grader is not yet reading on his own, but is no longer interested in picture books, unless they're full of suspense/adventure. Any suggestions for books I can read aloud in this in-between phase? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Do you want longer books? DS is that age and he likes: Kipling (esp. Rikki Tikki Tavi & the Mowgli stories), the Little House books, Catwings, Pippi Longstocking, anything by Roald Dahl. [ Reply | More ]
