Does any family have 1 child in TT private and other(s) in public? I feel like our #2 will be fine in public but may be switch to older child's private in middle or high school? Do people do this, or most of the siblings follow older from elementary school? Our #1 ia very smart and need a lot of attention but #2 is kind of normal kid. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Why not put #2 into #1's school from K? [ Reply | More ]

OP: To save some $$$. Also as I mentioned, DC#2 doesn't seem to need special attention like DC#1 does. [ Reply | More ]

do you worry that #2 will resent it later? that she didn't get the same treatment? wouldn't #2 benefit from the special attention, even if a kind of normal kid? [ Reply | More ]

How old is #2? How can you be sure that #2 isn't just as sharp as #1, but in a very different way? [ Reply | More ]

OP: DC#2 is almost 3 year old but not as alert as #1. I want them to go to same TT school but financially a bit tight. I was wondering #2 can catch up late years. I hope MS/HS still have sibling preference. [ Reply | More ]

we have people like you at our public, and we all just assume #2 didn't get in, and that they are hoping to buff up the kid and try down the road. of the one person I knew who said they opted for public for #2, I couldn't help but feel they preferred #1, and so put all their resources (or at least more of their resources) toward that kid.
