Seeking potty-training advice from those who have btdt. DD is almost 2 1/2yo. She is vehemently opposed to using the potty. She was interested in it at first. She actually used it successfully a couple of times, but now she wants no more to do with the potty. Any attempt to get her to try results in her crying, saying that she wants a diaper. We've tried getting her pretty panties, putting stickers on the potty, using a reward sticker chart... She understands what she's supposed to do, but just does NOT want to do it. Would we be better to just forget it completely for a while? Or do we gently keep the potty training attempts going and let her adjust? Our ped seems to want us to push it, but I suspect she'll fight us harder. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
