So, kid #1 is going to Lower Lab. #2 is going to be in preK age next year and I will send her to PS198 (hopefully we'll still have siblings preference next year). If she's not going to make the cut for LL K the year after she will stay in 198. I don't care if it is all black or not. She'll do fine and I have only one building to go to to pick up and drop off. I love my apartment and Carnegie Hill and DD is 2 now and I am starting to think about talking people into this. I looked at the zone map and I got so depressed. There are roughly six streets with lower-income housing and the rest of the zone is mainly UMC. If everyone just sent their kids there it would be amazing. It could have PTA money and a diverse student body. [ Reply | More ]
