So, when you start a child in school, do you have to classify them as a certain race? I have no idea what I'd put down for dd. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Because he is black hispanic. I am assuming of mixed race. I am white..(grandma is native american). She has light brown hair, hazel eyes and is only a shade darker than I. [ Reply | More

Most schools have a multiracial box - mine did. Some ask you to explain multiracial. You don't have to identify, but it is helpful to the school. [ Reply | More
