There are so many horror stories about miscarriage. I would like to take a poll to see how many people had an uneventful first pregnancy. Is that insensitive? I don't mean to be. I just feel like the statistics are not on my side. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Sorry not me, I had an ectopic my first pregnancy, but I didn't have any trouble ttc either one. Most of my friends though had uneventful 1st pg, and statistics are firmly on your side. [ Reply | More ]

that and the internet is full of them. If you look on other baby sites the miscarriage posts far exceed any other type of post. [ Reply | More ]

yes because people are upset. That doesn't mean they happen as often as this might make you think. People who get pg easily and haev healthy babies don't have time or inclination to post about details and emotions. [ Reply | More ]

LOL! I understand. Seriously though, look up some stats or ask your OB. The vast majority of women and pregnancies end up with a healthy happy baby. GL [ Reply | More ]

bc that's what people talk about. same with L&D. you almost never hear people telling the good stories. mainly the 48 hour labors and all the complications. my labor was a good one, and I always felt uncomfortable telling people bc it felt like it would be bragging when said in response to a tough L&D story. thus, few people heard my good story. I had a completely smooth first pregnancy, not a single hitch, not even much morning sickness at all. Try not to worry, I hope everything goes well and I'll bet it will! [ Reply | More ]

I had an "uneventful" first pregnancy, followed by a miscarriage, then a successful third pregnancy. The miscarriage was early (in the second month) and it wasn't upsetting to me. It just felt like something went wrong. Then I was able to conceive again a few months later. [ Reply | More ]
