So annoyed. Confided in my friend about something. Told her not to tell anyone. She told her DH - which might be fine for some couples but she KNOWS her DH has a big mouth. He has a history of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. He told other people. And when I said something to her about him spilling the beans she got all defensive with me. Saying that she doesn't keep secrets from her DH. Guess I learned my lesson but it's a shame that I can't ever confide in her again. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Well, considering she bitches to me all the time about what a big mouth her dh has, I guess I thought if I told her something went no further than the two of us, she wouldn't tell her dh. It's not like she doesn't know he has a big mouth. [ Reply | More

OP: here's the thing. unless you are concerned for someone or needing to vent about something, i don't think you need to tell your dh everything. basically, my friend gossiped to her dh about a medical thing in my past coming back to haunt me. telling him did nothing but spread gossip which he spread to others. i don't tell my dh anything he doesn't HAVE to know if someone asks me to keep it confidential.
