I don't live in NYC so I am curious about the "tests" that children have to do to get into the TT schools. Can anyone describe to me how/what a test looks like for a 4 year old? Is it expected that the children can read? or do they just ask them to draw pictures? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Believe it or not, there are 3 different tests, depending on which type of school you want to apply to: privates use ERB, Hunter uses Stanford Binet and the public gifted & talented use the OLSAT. [ Reply | More ]

It's an IQ test. Unless you have access to the test, you really can't prep. And if you DID have access to test and prepped, it's very likely tester would know. [ Reply | More ]
