For K kids, is it better to get a wheeled backpack that can also be carried or just a regular one? I know DD won't be lugging around a bunch of textbooks, but the wheels seem somewhat convenient when we are walking to school. Tia. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'm sure she can manage a lunch and a folder in a back pack. People trip over the wheeled ones, especially in crowds (drop off, pick up, bunches of kids.) [ Reply | More

DO NOT get a wheeled backpack. First when dc carries it on her back the dirty wheels rub off on her clothes. Also they are way too big to fit into the closet or cubby where she will store it at school. [ Reply | More
