3.1 yo dd has recently begun insisting that we call her by another name -- my first name, lol. well, it was funny at first, but now it's just annoying, since when i'm disciplining her or asking her to do something, i'm basically asking myself to do it. sigh. anyone b tdt? do we continue to play along? how long will the phase last? I think it's nbd. My dd changed her name at that age. It lasted a short time and had no long term consequences. Call her "Miss" or "young lady" when you discipline her. [ Reply | More
