we just used condoms bw kids. I didn't want to deal with pill/hormones, etc (plus was bf). i had prescription for mini pill but it made me nervous. [ Reply | More

Ditto. Plus, you can usually tell when you are ovulating. (it's when you are horney ;) ) We use condoms then and no condoms other times. No "mistakes" yet. [ Reply | More

Are you breast feeding? If you plan to, it may be easier to just use condoms/other for a few months. I didn't get my period until 10 or 11 months after ds was born. I ebf'ed for 5 months, then did some nursing and some bottles and food until 9.5 months. But you can get pregnant before the first time that you menstruate again, so be careful. I am pumping, bf and using formula as supplement. Yes, doctor gave me a prescription for a new birth control (forget name) but good point about hormoes and not getting period for several months. I think if I take pill, body will be all of out whack. [ Reply | More

You are supposed to wait a bit before getting pg again. My OB said to wait 2 years, but she is conservative. Most say to wait at least 1 year before getting pg again. Uterus needs time to heal. [ Reply | More

Mini pill is a sure way to get pg again.....especially if you are not EBFing. If you are still BFing, they can't give you the full strength pill. [ Reply | More
