Should I wait until the K application process is over before I quit my job? Do schools care of I work or not, or if my job looks good on paper? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

So they don't care? When I was applying DS for preschools I found that my job generated a lot of questions during parent interviews. Maybe it was just curiosity. It would be nice to have the rest of the summer free . . . [ Reply | More

Seriously, I have what most people think is a cool job, and I felt it was more of a negative than a positive in the interview process. I really don't think you should stay somewhere you're not happy to look better on paper when the perception may not work out that way anyway... [ Reply | More

it depends on the school-in my dc's school, we know the families well in classes older and younger than he-it seems like a good cross section. ibers, traders, social workers, teachers, actors, lawyers, architects. it may be helpful, but it isn't going to be a make or break thing for your dc.
