Are Greenwich CT moms on? Which schools are equivelant to NYC TTs in/near Greenwich? DH told me today that he may be transferring to Stanford and we may live in Greenwich. Don't know anything about schools there. Any advice? TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Sorry, can't remember the name of a private school there. They recruited the headmaster of St Anns. I think the tuition was similar. If you google and use keywords like private school and Stamford, CT, it should come up. [ Reply | More ]

np: Greenwich Country Day (through gr 9), Stanwich, Greenwich Catholic, Brunswick (boys), Greenwich Academy (girls), Sacred Heart (girls) are the private options. in stamford, King and Low Heywood-Thomas is rising in stature, but not near the greenwich privates yet. [ Reply | More ]

most kids in Greenwich go to public school. the public schools are great. Honestly, growing up there, the "troubled" kids went to private school. [ Reply | More ]

true that most go to public, but no longer true that the troubled kids go to private. there are excellent private schools; the public system is also very good. [ Reply | More ]

You sound like you have a personal preference for private (which is totally reasonable). I think Darien - if you like the vibe there - has excellent public schools and is an easy commute to Stamford. [ Reply | More ]
