DC will apply private this fall. We may move to Conneticut in few years. Is there any DCs who commute TT school from out of NY(CT)? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Greenwich has great schools, both private and public, why would you have kids spend 3-4 hours a day commuting? With all the homework they'll have in later grades that would be brutal. [ Reply | More

Socially that would not be fun. You would be better living in the city with a weekend place in Greenwich? The Hill Schools probably have some Westchester kids. Rye Country Day is near there. Also Brunswick Academy - maybe that is for boys. Not sure what else. Darien, Scarsdale, Westport, Rye Neck... these are all great public schools. Greenwich public schools are pretty good also. np: I know there is a private school in Greenwich, which is very good, several of my co-workers send kids there. I need to get the exact name from them, I thought it was something like greenwhich academy? And some publics around have great rep too, though a bit less than Westchester as more people seem to go with private there. [ Reply | More

Greenwich Academy and Brunswick Academy, Holy Child is an excellent catholic school in rye. New Canaan Country Day, Hackley, Riverdale Country day - all would be much better commute than NYC. [ Reply | More
