Need ideas for where to hold a 1st bday party in Manhattan in early October. Our apartment is too small, so we can't host it there. Considering a picnic but nervous about weather uncertainty. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Maybe 20ish adults and a handful of children/babies. [ Reply | More ]

uugghh, do everyone a favor and don't have a birthday party that ivites anyone beyond immediate family. Trust me, NONE of your friends want to come to your 1 year old's b-day party. It is one of the most onerous social obligations out there. And I say this as the mom of a 14 month old. [ Reply | More ]

NP: i kind of disagree with this - i think there are some friends - even childless who would like to come; and others who you are right - do NOT want to be invited. I would just choose carefully...we have a couple of 'couple' friends who always come and actually like it (we of course serve lots of alchol and good food) [ Reply | More ]
