My sis lives 3 states away, and for the past 3 years has sent her dd up to stay with us for a few weeks over the summer, my dd is a few years younger and adores her cousin completely, and they get along really well. My brother & his wife live near us, and yesterday my sil invited my niece to go to an amusement park and told her that my dd couldn't go because she didn't have enough room. She does, by the way, have plenty of room, it's only her and her db and my niece. So my dd is now crying because her Aunt doesn't want her, and hoping she'll call back and change her mind. I understand. But in the end, he should have stopped his wife from being such an idiot about this. My mother loves to blame my SIL for all sorts of crap, I have to repeatedly point out that her son (my brother) lets it all happen, in fact it could be all his idea for all we know. [ Reply | More
