Do I understand this correctly? Investigators found a drop of blood on Jon Benet's underwear at the crime scene, and it didn't match anyone in the family. But for all these years that was not enough to exonerate the family. WTF? How else could they explain the drop of blood on a child's underwear? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It's possible that Techniques for testing DNA have improved to the point that that drop of blood is now sufficient whereas a decade ago it was not. [ Reply | More ]

I understand until now that they may not be able to make a conclusive match to anyone else (now they have an exact profile). But the article I read said that by 1998 they had eliminated all family members as possibly matching the blood. [ Reply | More ]
