Would you move to Charleston, SC? Why or why not? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Probably not. It's a hard community for outsiders. Very old south. [ Reply | More ]

Maybe, if opportunities presented themselves or if I had family there. [ Reply | More ]

op: i just saw a great job listing. i'm a single mom now. originally from south; spent most of adult life in nyc but moved back south a few years ago. was considering moving anyway this fall -- although i have mixed feelings in heading back to nyc (would greatly reduce my little family's standard of living since their dad is a deadbeat with support). i think i'm going to apply and see how it goes. nothing to lose, right? nothing to lose, but as pp said, Charleston is a VERY closed community, unlike say Atlanta or Charlotte or even Savannah [ Reply | More ]

Unless your hubby was apart of St. Cecilia's, I'd say no. [ Reply | More ]
