Funny how it's really hard to be a grown up in some relationships. Was going out for vacation to visit dad and stepmom at the beach tomorrow. We had let them know the dates months ago. I called to let them know when we were arriving tomorrow, and stepmom says, Oh, I'm really busy tomorrow, Friday's better. I said, Oh, don't worry, we can take care of ourselves and ds will be in bed a couple hours after we arrive. She said, No, come Friday. I know it's petty and childish to be so pissed off, but ds is going to be disappointed and I wish, just once, that his only grandparents were actually excited about seeing him for a change.
