i love the east village. my neighbors got shut out of all the local preschools so they decided to start their own school. rented a space, hired teachers and a para and are doing a co-op style nursery school. so fucking brave and bold and beautiful. love them the idea. sooooo sweet. I'm perfectly relaxed thank you. NYC school system may be a huge beaurocracy (and think about that next time you start whining about universal healthcare) but they aren't the taliban. No one will be beaten. They might lose funding - gasp! but they will all survive [ Reply | More
