found out I am a month along with a 2 1/2 year old and 4 month old. This was obviously unplanned and I am not financially or emotionally equipped to have a third right now. Advice? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it's okay. It really is. YOu have a TINY baby, an infant. I don't want to seem like I'm encouraging you to abort if that's not really what you want, but it seems like it would be a very hard thing to have this baby, in terms of already having an infant (and are you nursing?) and in terms of dh's feelings. You have to do what is right for your family and if that means terminating, than that's that. OTOH, if you think you want another just not right now, you may want to sit with this decision for a bit and see how you feel when you recover from the shock. [ Reply | More

Look. I'm going to get flamed here. I know it. But, I was in the same boat as you are in two years ago. I chose to abort. We are struggling to get pg now. I look at my friends who had unplanned pgs, kept the baby because they knew that they wanted another, but the timing was way off; they are all doing really well. ^^^ my bff was 5 mo with her second and in the middle of moving house when she found out she was pg with #3. She describes it as a bomb going off in her house. I actually encouraged her to abort. It's been tough at times, but it is what it is and they are all very happy kids. [ Reply | More

np: I agree with this. Things that can seem insurmountable now can be manageable in 6 months, or 12 months. If you want a third eventually, I would keep this one now, and take it all one day at a time. But you and your husband are the only ones who can make this decision- just offering my perspective.
