Please help make a decision. I am single mom with 1 dc. Should I stay on UWS or move to Brooklyn? I love UWS, but financially it will be a huge stetch. Brooklyn will be a different life style and a longer commute to work. School is another factor. Not sure which public schools are better. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Brooklyn is no longer cheap my friend. I assume you mean to move to any of the Park Slope or below neighborhoods. It might end up being as big a stretch plus a longer commute. I am also curious as to what the "different lifestyle" is. We moved from UWS to Brooklyn and the only difference is that we are in a brownstone and not a doorman building. [ Reply | More
