It's all about money honey. If you have money anything can be made comfotable and doable. You are, however, creating a drain on our natural resources. [ Reply | More ]

if you can afford enough space and private school (or have a good public option), then why not? [ Reply | More ]

private school is the second thing that comes to your mind after enough space? Wow. [ Reply | More ]

yes, but the NYC public school system is pretty good. No need to worry about private school. [ Reply | More ]

OR: I did say have a "good public" alternative, but not everyone is zoned for a good public. [ Reply | More ]

LOL...that's why everyone is scrambling to get into a handful of G & T's, or paying $$$ to live in a few good zones. [ Reply | More ]

why is that 'wow'? In my family, education is a huge priority. I guess food would be up there, but I am assuming that being able to feed another child was not an issue. [ Reply | More ]

I don't, but I'd imagine you'd need $$$ to pull it off in Manhattan which you might if you already have 3. [ Reply | More ]

But if you aren't very poor, don't expect having 4 to open the door to a wealth of financial aid and other stuff. Expect that you will have to tighten the budget more. [ Reply | More ]

Space is probably the main issue. You will need at least a 3BR, preferably a 4BR apartment, at least. It's going to cost you if you want to stay in the city. [ Reply | More ]

once you have three kids you realize how little additional work another child will create. I have three and I love kids. If I had the resources I would have at least 5 kids. [ Reply | More ]

I have 3 and I think you are nuts to want 4. Can't you just be the house where all the other kids play. [ Reply | More ]

Wow, how much help could you get? I don't know anyone personally with four in the city but I see women with 4 and FT nannies and summer/country homes. [ Reply | More ]
