quick question: my son is going to his grandmother's for 3 weeks. She lives in Miami. She is his father's mother, I am not married to the father. What paper work would I need to do for this if any? Does she need power of attorney should anything happen? Where else can I look into this? tia [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you probably need to give some kind of health care proxy in case emergency medical care is needed and they can't reach you or the father [ Reply | More ]

you need a power of attorney for physical and healthcare of a minor. You should be able to find a form online that is free. You just specify the dates it is in effect, then you and the child's father should sign. [ Reply | More ]
