Dh 's asset management firm closed up shop in March and he and his team have been shopping themselves around. They are at the point where a small - medium sized firm wants to take them on to start a new trading business for the. The projected start would be 9/1 but they want dh and team to present to two of their clients beforehand. What do you think? Is this common? I really want this for dh and us! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I did. The DH is starting a trading business and the firm wants him to present to clients. It sounds like the firm wants to gather funds (AUM, AUS, or AUC) before launching the business. Of course, we don't know this because OP is more interested in bragging about her wealth than answering questions. If you are going to be snarky, I can't help. If they want the AUM or AUS, or need help with the ABCD structure, it would be standard for him to present. my dh was transitioning into a new job in a small finance-type firm and he was asked to meet with some of their bigger clients before he was offered the job. I think it is very common when firms are small and have close relationships with certain clients...they wouldn't want to hire some guy who was going to completely turn off their biggest clients [ Reply | More
